Webinar: Visual Builder Unleashed: Simplifying Purchase Order Management
Have you ever wanted to make bulk updates to an existing purchase order? The thought of changing each line manually is overwhelming, especially for large orders. While Oracle does provide a method to import Purchase Orders using FBDI there is not a template for mass updates. We’ve all been in this situation and today we’re going to share information on a tool that can be used by end users to make this task less cumbersome. The best news is you don’t have to be a developer or an IT professional to use this tool. The tool is called Oracle Visual Builder Add-in for Excel (VBAFE) and it is an add-in for Microsoft Excel. The add-in runs inside Microsoft Excel on the Windows operating system and allows Excel users to edit business data using REST services. When using VBAFE you download data from a REST service to an Excel spreadsheet and within Excel you can modify, create, or delete data. Modifications can then be uploaded back to the Oracle Cloud applications using REST services. This tool enables end users to create integrations between Excel and Oracle Cloud using REST services, with no coding, and enables end users to perform bulk updates. In this webinar, we will review how to download and install VBAFE. Then we will demonstrate using VBAFE to download Purchase Order data, work with the data, and upload changes back to the Oracle Cloud application. For this demonstration, we will be using the Draft Purchase Order REST endpoint. Included in the demonstration, we will explain key concepts, components, and terms related to the add-in. Join Teresa Meyerhoeffer, Senior Consultant at Alithya, for this comprehensive discussion and demonstration to help you better understand how to use integrated spreadsheets using Oracle Visual Builder Add-in for Excel and the Oracle Cloud application. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9fvyBiOV20
