David LeFrancois for a Seat on the OCNI Board of Directors

With over 30 years of experience working in nuclear, I have a thorough understanding of the CANDU industry, its people, companies, and equipment. I’ve worn many hats throughout the years, all with a focus on providing innovative and efficient solutions for the Nuclear industry. For 21 years I worked as the Director of Fuel Handling and Engineering solutions at GE Hitachi – Now BWXT. Prior to that my experience includes work at Darlington Nuclear generating station, Ontario Hydro, and General Electric. At Alithya, I lead a team of expert engineers and together we have provided hundreds of projects in the energy industry for all Canadian nuclear generators. Our teams have successfully delivered services and solutions spanning from the design and development of safety-critical shutdown system, and reactor control systems, to monitoring and display systems, and most recently to machine learning and analytics solutions. As a member of the board I will provide sound guidance and oversight to Canada’s nuclear industry to build the foundation for a stronger tomorrow.
